CRUMB & CLOVEREST. 2016

Our story

A laundromat, a sourdough starter and a lot of abuelas

Inés Calderón and Owen Hart opened Crumb & Clover in 2016 in what used to be the Mangrove Lane laundromat. The dryers went out, a stone-deck oven came in, and the neighbors started showing up before the sign did.

We bake two traditions side by side: slow European breads and the Cuban pastelería Inés grew up with in Westchester. Everything is made from scratch, in small batches, by a crew of nine who start at 4 AM.
